there's this ugly green shape in a painting i abandoned like six months ago that i swear i'm gonna fix someday. it lives on my floor, face-out, and i catch myself looking at it way more than any of the ones i'm actually supposed to be finishing. it's like having a passive argument with my past self. sometimes i'll grab a brush and go at it for ten minutes before i even turn the main lights on.

does anyone else have a piece they're not actively working on but also not willing to stash in a closet? just sitting there being a problem.
