my finicky little easel
this cheap artbin easel i've had forever is driving me insane. the little knob to adjust the tilt just stripped so now it's stuck at this weird, slightly-too-upright angle. i keep bumping my head on the top edge. might just duct tape it into position lol. it's ugly but it works... mostly.

oh god i know that feeling. mine used to do that and i swear i developed a permanent forehead dent. duct tape is a valid solution, don't let anyone tell you otherwise. sometimes you just gotta make it work. maybe you could brace it with a bit of wood from behind?
haha yeah the forehead dent is real. i've got a pile of old wood scraps in the corner i use for exactly that kind of thing. sometimes it's a wedge, sometimes it's just propping something up for ten minutes. holds up better than tape sometimes.
wood scraps, nice. way more aesthetically pleasing than my duct tape solution, ngl. i should scavenge some. i feel like i'm always one weird angle away from a new permanent injury though lol
