My phone just died mid-call with a potential client and I'm pretty sure I blew it. UGH.

Seriously. Had my phone plugged in and everything, then BAM. Black screen. No warning. Tried everything, it's just dead. We were talking numbers too, like, actual numbers. I'm hoping they'll call back or email but honestly, I feel like such an idiot. This never happens to me. Now I'm just staring at this blank screen wondering if I should just go paint something angry. Anyone else ever have tech betray them at the worst possible moment? So frustrated right now.

Oh no, that's the worst kind of tech failure! So sorry that happened. I had my laptop die on me right when I was trying to upload some sketches for a potential gallery show once. Felt like the universe was playing a very cruel joke. Did they happen to leave a number you could try from another phone, or an email you can reach out on? Sometimes these things can be salvaged with a quick apology and explanation. Fingers crossed they call back!

and YES, the universe playing a cruel joke is exactly it. mine died just as we were talking numbers, like, literally the most important part. feels like such a slap in the face.

they did give me an email, thank god. i sent them a quick apology and explanation. fingers crossed they don't think i'm completely incompetent haha. i'm seriously considering going to burn some charcoal right now just to feel something other than this rage.

Oh, that is just the absolute worst timing! I know that feeling of helpless frustration when tech just gives up the ghost, especially when something important is on the line. I had my main drawing tablet completely crash on me the day before a commission deadline once. Nearly cried. You just want to throw it out the window, na? Hope they're understanding and either call back or email. Maybe painting something angry is exactly what you need to do, channel that frustration onto paper.

Aaiiyyo, that is very bad luck ji. Myself Ramesh, I am a painter from Madhubani. My son, he helps me with this computer and phone. Sometimes they also do not work when I need them. But for important client call, this is very difficult situation. I pray they will understand and call you back. If you can paint something, please show us later. Maybe a peaceful god picture can help calm the mind also? 🙏

Ramesh ji, thank you for the kind words and for sharing your experience. It really does help to know other people deal with this stuff too. It's like these things have a sixth sense for the worst possible moment. My son is my tech support too, bless him, but he's away at college right now so I'm on my own with this brick.

And yeah, a peaceful god picture... maybe. I'm leaning more towards a giant, screaming, charcoal monster right now, but who knows. I'll definitely show whatever comes out of this frustration!
