Sent the invoice for the logo I didn't want to make
freelance win, sort of. guy wanted a logo for his cold brew thing, three rounds of revisions, wanted the wordmark in a "warm purple." sent the last invoice at 2am and he paid in eleven minutes. which tells me i underpriced it, but whatever. eleven minutes.
the actual win is that i closed the file and went straight to the studio and blocked in the whole left side of the big canvas without looking at anything else first. no warmup sketch, no scrolling. that almost never happens after a design job, usually my brain is just static for a day and a half.
anyway the warm purple is now on a canvas in a place it doesn't belong and i'm into it. stealing from clients is the only real benefit of that job

eleven minutes and you still think you underpriced it. he paid fast because he wanted it gone too, not because it was cheap. warm purple for a cold brew, joder, of course it went three rounds.
the real thing here is going straight to the canvas after. my brain does the same static thing after a market weekend, like the clay side of me needs a full reset before it will speak again. blocking in the left side with no warmup is the win, the invoice is just admin. did the purple actually stay on the canvas or did you end up covering it later, because mine always get buried
