Sent my stuff to a gallery back in january. they said they loved it and would be in touch about a group show. still waiting.
anyone else dealt with this? how long do you wait before assuming it's a no?

My son ji he helps me with my online work, and he tells me sometimes these galleries are very busy people. January is long time ago, yes, but perhaps they have many artists to see. It is disheartening when you are waiting for reply, I understand this feeling very much. Myself, I sell through our cooperative mostly, and sometimes it is also slow for them to connect buyers. Maybe send one polite email after some more weeks? Just to check in kindly. Sometimes they just forget or get distracted. God willing, you will hear good news.
It is a common experience, I think. The waiting is difficult. Sometimes a polite follow-up is best. Direct, but not demanding.
seriously, january. it's not like i'm expecting an instant reply but still.
yeah, that's probably the way to go. a gentle nudge. i'm trying not to take it personally, but it's hard not to when you pour yourself into the work. thanks for the advice.
