The gallery that took forever to respond… and was it worth it?
Okay, so I sent my portfolio to this gallery like, three months ago? And just got a 'we're considering it' email yesterday. Joder, the waiting is the worst! Anyone else deal with a gallery that takes ages to get back to you? Was the eventual 'yes' or 'no' even worth the stress?

Ah jaysus, three months? I'd have lost the head entirely waiting that long. It's the not knowing, isn't it? Drives you mad. I remember sending my prints to a place out in Cork years ago, took them nearly four months to even send a polite 'no thanks'. Four months! You'd think they could at least manage a quick 'nah, not for us' a bit sooner, wouldn't you? Makes you wonder what they're doing in there, the bigwigs. Still, sometimes they're just swamped, I suppose. If it's a place you really admire, maybe the wait is a sign they're genuinely taking it seriously. But still… four months. I'd be polishing the good china for that kind of wait, I tell ya. Hope you get a good answer either way, and sooner rather than later!
Four months?! ¡Qué locura! That’s wild. I think I would have actually exploded. You’re right, the not knowing is the killer part. It’s like a little piece of your brain just… stops working until you get an answer. Makes you doubt yourself, too. But yeah, maybe you’re right, maybe it means they’re actually looking at it properly. Fingers crossed for me, anyway! Thanks for sharing your story, gives me perspective. Even if it’s a 'no', at least it's an answer eventually, ¿no?
