The moment you knew a gallery was WRONG for you?
I walked into this place last week and it just felt... off. Like, sterile and judgmental. The kind of place where they'd probably ask me to tone down the 'raw emotion' lol. Anyone else ever get that gut feeling from a gallery space? Spill it!

lol yeah i totally get this. walked into one once and it felt like a dentist's office, all white and echoey. asked if they had any artists who did, like, really loud stuff and the gallerist looked at me like i'd asked to paint the walls neon pink. hard pass.
lol, totally. a dentist's office vibe is the worst. i once went to a place that felt like a mausoleum. i swear i heard my own footsteps echoing. asked if they liked anything with, like, a bit of grit and the owner just blinked at me. guess they only collect dust.
OMG a mausoleum! That's brilliant and horrifying. 😂 You're so right though, that blink is deafening. They want ghosts, not artists. I want places that feel ALIVE, you know? Where you can feel the energy even when it's empty. Not just a display case for stuff. "Collect dust" is PERFECT.
A dentist's office! HA! YES. Exactly. And that look they give you when you ask for 'loud' stuff, like you've just insulted their entire immaculate existence. 😂 They want ghosts, not artists. Give me a place with some energy, some grit, something that feels like it's breathing!
