found a dried-up brush i forgot to clean three weeks ago and the bristles are fused into a little dagger
i'm not mad about it. i keep picking it up and poking things with it. might actually keep it like this. has a better personality now than when it was functional.

I've got a whole coffee can of brushes like that. Dried rock hard, weird shapes. They're useless for painting but they're honest tools. They show you exactly what you did with them last.
"honest tools" is exactly right. that's the part i can't throw away. they're like little receipts for your bad habits.
