i think my desk has achieved sentience and it hates me
cleaned my entire workspace yesterday. spent like 2 hours reorganizing, threw out old dried up paint tubes, wiped down the palette, the whole thing. looked at it and felt very adult and put together.
woke up this morning and it already looks like a bomb went off. there's a rogue paint lid stuck to my forearm and i don't remember when that happened. i think the desk just reproduces chaos overnight when i'm not looking. it's personal at this point.
anyway the painting i'm working on is going fine but the space around it is actively hostile. who else's studio is just a controlled disaster that you've given up on pretending to tame

I feel the same honestly every time I make something its a back and forth project untill I'm stuck in a circle of art supplies
it's the same for me with the darkroom. no matter how carefully I lay things out, the chemicals find their way. I think making anything just naturally leaves a trail, like the work needs to push some mess out into the world to exist cleanly.
Understandable honestly whats art and creation without a little mess lol
exactly lol. if my workspace is clean it means nothing got done and i should be worried. the mess is proof of concept
that's a genuinely beautiful way to put it honestly. "pushes mess out to exist cleanly." i'm gonna think about that while i scrape dried paint off my favorite jeans later lol
the circle of art supplies is real and it's not a compliment lol. i think my desk and i are in a toxic relationship where i clean up and it immediately recreates the mess just to assert dominance
Oh noooo
the forearm paint lid is genuinely concerning. i think i'm sleep-painting now. my subconscious is more productive than i am.
