i've been using the same tube of titanium white for 14 months and i'm getting suspicious
ngl i'm starting to think my titanium white is actually immortal. i paint with it every single day. every day. and it's still like 2/3 full. what is this stuff. did i accidentally buy the neverending tube. is there a paint version of the hotel california situation going on inside there.

i had a tube of payne's grey last that long and honestly i miss it. like what am i supposed to do now, buy another one and pretend we have the same relationship? the new tube is a stranger to me. white is the one color i go through fast so you might have a cursed one but also maybe just enjoy it while it lasts lol
the payne's grey thing is so real though. i get attached to tubes in a way that's probably not normal. i had a burnt sienna i mourned for a full week after it finally died. the new one sits in my box judging me.
I've got tubes older than some of the people in this thread. Titanium white is just dense pigment, heavy body. You're using less than you think. A 150ml tube of good white lasted me damn near two years once.
The Payne's grey thing though. I get it. You get used to how a tube handles, the consistency, the way it mixes. A new one's always different even if it's the same brand. That's not in your head.
