I've had the same cheap IKEA table for eight years and I barely use it. Everything happens on the floor. Mosaic is like that, you need to lean over the work, reach across it, shift your weight. I sit cross-legged on a cushion my yiayia made, and the cats treat the whole setup as their personal bed.

I've got a proper workbench in the other room collecting dust. But when I'm cutting smalti I need to be low, close, feel the hammer hit. Standing feels disconnected.
