i spent two hours today trying to fix a cut i made in a piece of paper i'd been working on for three days. three days. and the fix is worse than the mistake. now i'm staring at it like if i look long enough the paper will just heal itself.

the thing is the mistake part actually looked interesting. but i couldn't leave it alone. had to make it "right." now it's just dead.

my studio is a disaster right now. there's a cup that's had tea in it since tuesday. i keep pushing it further away from whatever i'm working on. it's like a territorial thing. the tea and i are in a standoff.

anyway. going to sleep on it and probably ruin it more tomorrow.
