What's the red flag you ignored because you wanted the show?
Mine first so I'm not sitting here asking ye to go first like a feckin guard in an interview room.
Gallery in the midlands, years back. Lovely building, the woman running it was grand in the emails, all "we'd be delighted, we'd be delighted." So I cart a box of framed linos down on the bus because I'd no car at the time, and she shows me the wall space and it's, no word of a lie, behind a radiator. Not near it. Behind it. I said nothing. Hung the whole show anyway and spent a fortnight sweating over whether the ink would lift.
The one that should have had me running though: she wouldn't put the price on the wall. Any of them. "We'll chat to people about the prices." Chat. To people.
What's yours? The thing you spotted and thought ah here now, and then went ahead regardless because it was a show, and a show is a show.
