Something stupid I only noticed this week: I can't start until the second drawer of the flat file is shut. Not the top one, not the bottom. The second one.

It sticks about half an inch and I've never fixed it, and if it's open even a little I'll sit there for twenty minutes moving paper around and getting nothing done. Shut it and I'm fine. Same with the coffee cup, it has to be on the left. I'm not superstitious about this, I just apparently have a lot of opinions I never bothered to tell myself.

Rest of the studio is a disaster, so it's not about tidiness. It's like one small thing has to be in order before the mess is allowed to be useful.

Anyway. What's the dumb little thing that has to be right before you can actually work.
